If there is anything Danes miss after a trip abroad, it’s a hotdog with all the trimmings. Steff Houlberg therefore has hotdog stands in four of the six terminals at Copenhagen Airport. Two of them are run by Lars Bech, and he has gone to great lengths to ensure that customers enjoy sinking their teeth into a Danish sausage.
When people return home to Denmark after a trip abroad, it’s something of a tradition for them to eat a hotdog. Last year, the four Steff’s Place shops served more than 660,000 sausages.
