SUCCESSFUL TRIAL SCHEME

Since November last year, Danish Crown’s Beef Division has been inviting new suppliers to try out the benefits of being a member for six months. As a bonus supplier you receive DKK 0.70 per kg in addition to the normal price during the trial period, but you are not entitled to any supplementary payment.

PIG PRODUCERS AND DC PRAISED IN CANON

The Monday Morning weekly has, together with five leading professors, selected twelve Danish leadership successes to be included in a new leadership canon. Danish pig production has been chosen as one of the twelve biggest successes, and Danish Crown is mentioned in particular as a key player in Danish pig production.

PIG NO. 15,000,000 IN HORSENS

One pig, two pigs, three pigs ... Danish Crown’s slaughterhouse in Horsens opened four years ago and has since gradually expanded capacity. Both in step with the running- in of the slaughterhouse and the individual lines and with the granting of the necessary environmental approvals.

At the end of April 2009, 15 farmers gathered at the cattle slaughterhouse in Tønder near the German border to take a closer look at seven animals, four young bulls and three heifers, to assess them before and after slaughter.
